Copy certification by a document custodian is the certified copy issued by the office or person who keeps the original record — not a notarial copy of a photocopy you bring in.
When a form or agency asks for a copy certified by the custodian, we complete that certification if we are the custodian of the record. If the original is held by another office, we will tell you to request the copy from that custodian.
